Charlevoix Tourism Summer
Looking for a change of scenery, historic discoveries, entertainment, friendly lodging establishments and great hotels? Welcome to the Charlevoix!

Declared a UNESCO World Bisophere Reserve, the Charlevoix offers simply breathtaking landscapes. Whether hiking in the Parc national des Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie, along one of the Parc national des Grands-Jardins walking trails or in a unique Québec conservation area, the Marine Park, it’s impossible to remain indifferent to the spectacular beauty surrounding you.

Kayaking on the St. Lawrence River, bicycling on Île-aux-Coudres, Via Ferratas, whale watching cruises - countless outdoor activities offer a personal invitation to capture the region’s beauty and distinct nature.

The Charlevoix’s historic nature also contributes to the landscape, with gorgeous centennial buildings dotting the countryside. In the La Malbaie Sector, numerous villas stand as proud vestiges to the past. Built over two centuries ago, the distinguished Fairmont Manoir Richelieu, with the exciting Casino de Charlevoix next door, is an absolute must.

Celebrated for its cultural attractions, museums, economuseums and art galleries also abound, complemented by Domaine Forget’s International Music Festival and Rêves d’automne, festival paysages en peinture. Awed and inspired by the region’s grandiose landscape and rich heritage, many artists have elected to live in the Charlevoix, often in the Baie-St-Paul Area.

Gourmets are catered to as well! La Route des Saveurs or The Flavour Route abounds with inventive growers and producers, and wonderful local fare features a long list of regional products that are the pride of the Charlevoix.

For a long weekend or an extended stay, you’ll appreciate the cozy comforts of our inns and quaint bed & breakfasts, with the master of the premises there to greet you with a warm, hearty welcome.
